COMPONENTS: Slender open and closed brass circles, and hammered semi-bows dance together to form charming dangles. The brass components are covered in heavy Grand Manan patina - the result of applying to them different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the island to “age”. The semi-bows have specs of aqua acrylic paint, for more interest.

October on Grand Manan Island feels like Summer and Fall holding hands across the island’s rugged landscape. The days can be very warm and sunny, lighting up the meadows, roadsides and forests with the fading colours of late Summer, and at night the temperature falls, and white birch bark piercing through the darkness in the rays of the Moon. Fisherman are preparing for Setting Day, many still able to work on their boats in short-sleeves, often in the orange and pink tones of the rising sun, hoping for a season filled with success and camaraderie.
