These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: We distressed and then applied heavy Grand Manan patina to the raw brass components in these earrings - we coated them with natural ingredients and left them in the open, salty air at the Island. Earthy, raw, atmospheric, authentic. The patina on the dangles is not identical - Nature does not replicate in a perfect way - the imperfection is the point.
These earrings will sway gently as you move, in a natural, sensual way.

The phrase “one-of-a-kind” is now part of our everyday parlance but we prefer inimitable - impossible to repeat or duplicate. Patina work can be very rewarding and prone to surprises - we welcome those! What is difficult to do is replicate patina with exactly the same effect - how it “blooms” depends on a series of factors (often in combination), including temperature, humidity, length of exposure, types of natural materials used, and even trees under which we leave our the brass pieces we want to patinate. These earrings are a classic example of the wonderfully-unpredictable nature of patina - inimitable - never the same twice.
